So I went to Borders after work yesterday specifically to buy myself a small portable sketchbook. Moleskine books are great for that so I purchased a tiny little sketchbook and got a discount by showing them a coupon on my iphone, I felt real cool. Anyway I’ve already done two sketches in it and if I’m a good girl, I’ll draw everyday!! Not only do I love sketching, but my dream would be to work as a concept artist and let’s just say I’ll be needing to hone my skills if I want to be good enough to do that. Also, I think it’s a great exercise for my imagination and my mind. Having to think about transferring form and thought on to paper as well as coming up with creative little ideas to sketch out gives me a slight high…I love it!
Of course, as with every sketchbook, I christened the pages with a horse :)
As soon as I get enough sketches to be worthwhile, I’ll scan them in and post them. As for now I don’t even have a scanner and I’m not sure taking photos of such small drawings would really work, but we’ll see.
