guitars! Nov 25, 2008by amanda1 Comment

I have been super busy lately, but I’ll try and make a quick update here. First off and most importantly I have accepted an offer from UVPhactory, so I will be going to New York this winter! :)  It makes me both happy and sad. I’m so excited to be getting out of town to experience a new city and an amazing job opportunity but at the same time I’ll be leaving my family and my boy :(  It’s only 3 months though and I know I’m going to love it (people have promised to come visit me…everyone loves ny!) Luckily I have a friend co-oping there in the winter too, so I will have a roommate. Now we just need to find living, sigh.

As for school, things are moving toward an end. I’m finishing up the Leo motion piece and the Findlay website. I also did a motion piece for ideation, it was a short 5 second 3d animation of a logo (my logo was that of a fictional tattoo parlour, inked). Now in ideation we are creating storyboards for a 30 second mp3 cell phone commercial. After doing some user research and developing a persona, I moved on to storyboards and am now at the preliminary photoshop stage (image above ^). After receiving a critique I’ll refine the concept and move on to create a whole set of boards in order to communicate the entire commercial.

I also finished my short story for fiction class and it was received with praise :) Everyone loves my metaphors which is good because I love thinking up crazy comparisons. Despite this I do have a few revisions to do and I’ll post the story when I’ve made those.

Also, I’ll post the tattoo logo animation after I add music!
