pre-junior Sep 25, 2008by amandaAdd Comment

Today was the first day of school, and I’m happy to say that I’m excited for this quarter! I’m a pre-junior, aka a junior in a five year program (lame. I want to be a real junior, but I’ll get over it.) Anyways, we’ll be learning Maya and Cinema 4D in Ideation as well as redesigning a website in Digital. I’m not sure what my other classes are all about quite yet, but I’m sure that motion class will be amazing no matter what the project is and fiction will be a nice break from design work. It’s nice to have a lively campus again and see people after their co-ops.

Everyone at Barefoot gave me a nice good-bye on my last day Thursday and even though I miss the people and enjoyed working there, I’m even more excited to be learning 3d and doing motion work again :) Speaking of motion…don’t worry, I’m so so very near done with my animation. All I need to work out is the background and lighting and then I’ll just be tweaking it to perfection until it comes time to apply for my next co-op. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that having a fully hand-drawn animation in my portfolio will give me a little extra push in the eyes of employers out there! I’ve never worked so hard on something and yet enjoyed it so much. I hope it turns out!
