My birthday was this past weekend. Sadly I am no longer a teen. I’m twenty and I can’t wrap my mind around it. I still read teen books, but I guess that’s only because I’m one of those Stephanie Meyer, Twilight fans. Breaking Dawn was just released August 2nd and I’m rereading all three vampire romance books before I plow through this newest one. But no worries, I still read adult books. I finally got the entire Jane Austen collection from my parents and just finished reading Jane Eyre, a classic that I should have read a long time ago. I really enjoyed the language and how she scrutinized and discerned people’s characters from her observations (I miss literature classes). If only we all followed our hearts like Jane… Since I want to be slightly corny, I’ll bring up the heart toggle necklace my boyfriend got me, he did well. :p It’s now ranked top among my favorite pieces of jewelry…a feat that is hard to achieve. Aside from all of this I got a Sony T2 hot pink camera- sexy, tiny, and fast. My cake was pink too, strawberry, and is now dubbed my favorite cake.
My birthday weekend was extended when I went to Montgomery Inn Boathouse, a restaurant known for their infamous sauce and incredible ribs. My friend Molly happened to have her birthday two days before mine, so we celebrated together with our families by chowing down over Saratoga chips and bbq sauce, how appropriate that she gave me a cute tee with a fat unicorn eating a rainbow on it. Food was definitely a prominent part of the celebration-homemade lasagna, cake, pulled pork, applebee’s… I had a good birthday.
On a different note, I’ve been hunched over tracing paper drawing fifty little horses. I only have fifty more to go in order to complete the short horse animation I’m working on. I won’t have that done for at least another week and half though, but only because I’m flying to Virginia Beach tomorrow! I’ll be packing books, suntan lotion and a bathing suit… who needs anything else?
