I just had a wonderful concoction of moist peanut butter chocolate cake rolled into a ball and dipped in heavenly cocoa (recipe : red velvet cake balls). People at work keep making sweets and bringing in cookies and ice cream…what kind of place is this?! Considering I’m working out every morning to prepare for Virginia Beach, it’s absolute torture to have things like chocolate dipped strawberries and smiley face cookies waving under my nose all day. I guess it’s just self control and I have to keep thinking of my bikini. Switching from jeans and tees into a bathing suit means sun, reading lots of books, tanning, and most of all the ocean…I can’t wait! But then again I can. The summer has been going way too fast for me to accomplish any of my goals.

I’m in the process of scanning fabrics to use in my blog design, but that’s taking forever since I’ve collected tons and tons of yards from my Nana’s garage which is literally packed full of everything from green leopard prints to black velvet and golden silks. All of it is left over from projects at her work, curtains she’s made for people, or clothes we’ve sewn. It’s a great place to get inspiration and resources, I can’t wait to throw some flowery upholstery into photoshop and set to work!
